“In the beginning...”. These simple yet profound words invite us to explore humanity's most crucial questions: Where did we come from? Why are we here? Genesis, a book of beginnings, is essential for understanding the Bible's broader narrative of redemption and its relevance to modern life. To fully appreciate this foundational text, we need to examine its literary form, historical context, and cultural background. Join us as we dive into Genesis, bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and contemporary relevance, and uncovering the enduring insights of God’s Word for our lives today.

The study is broken into two sections. Chapters 1 to 11 will explore how we are to interpret the stories of creation, the fall, and Noah's Flood in light of the literary genre of these chapters and the intent of Moses when he wrote them. Chapters 12 to 50 constitute the second eight sessions and focus on the call of Abraham and the covenant God made with him and his descendants, and what it means for us today.
